This was bought as a joke present just for a bit of fun but was much better than expected. Battery life is quite impressive and it moves well to. I had to buy another so we could race. Alot of fun

I don't usely do reviews but i felt like i should on this little bad boy for a start the price is realy low making this a decent item for x-mas.

The packaging is realy cool it comes in a coke can so you can see just how small this thing is, It even comes with trafic cones.

It takes 2 AA size batterys witch are included )The car charges from the transmiter and takes like 2 mins to charge and you get about 5 to 10 mins run time before a recharge.This thing is also fast for a mini rc car

But the best thing about this item is my 6 mouth kitten loves tearing around the kitchin after it lol,

five stars, amazing item

Bought this for our 9 year old son for Christmas, although 12 year old sister had to help with the build ! Some really good features inside such as the moving staircase. No Ron, but my son got the Hogwarts Express set and he was in there, so okay. Having seen all the films and visited Orlando summer gone, both my children have been fascinated for days. Expensive, but the key piece for sure. Watch where you build it as tricky to get up to his bedroom now been built in the lounge ! A must but for any keen Harry and Lego fan.

We bought this for our son's 7th birthday. It took him a long time to finish building, but he enjoyed every minute! Now he is having great fun re-enacting different scenes from the Harry Potter films. This is done with the addition of lego pieces from other sets to create characters and scenes from the Harry Potter range that he doesn't have. I know that some children don't actually play with the lego once they have built it. Luckily this is not the case with our son and it will provide him with many more hours of fun. I've given it a high educational rating for the concentration required to follow the instructions and the dexterity needed to put the various parts together. All in all a great present for a wee boy! It's just a pity that the combination of the Lego and Harry Potter brand names makes these sets so expensive :(

If I was brave enough I'd do a video review but I'm not so you have to just read instead! This was a present to my son from his Dad and was welcomed with open arms by my Lego mad boy. My son is autistic but has fabulous imagination skills when it comes to Lego and lots of things have been created from various kits over the years. So....
Firstly the price: This is a very expensive kit for a child who wants to build it and then break it into thousands of pieces to build spaceships from the bits (normally what my son does). However, if a child likes building and keeping their creation from a kit then this is fabulous - the final finished article has a moving staircase, revolving bookcases, books, lots of fgures but no Ron(why Lego - just why have you NOT included Ron?) It DOES however, have Dementors which my son thinks are amazing monsters.
Secondly - ease of construction: Having spent many a stressful hour building Lego Star Wars spaceships which my son then destroys to build something else I was wary of this. My heart sank when we opened the box and no fewer than 10 bags of Lego fell out plus three thick construction booklets. BUT - it was actually easy - really good and clear instructions with one bag making one thing and the next bag another mostly. This was good as it meant we could build the castle over a few days but that Bag 1 could be opened with all the figures and the beginnings of the castle - this meant my son could play with it right away which is just what you need with a kit this size. My son being both autistic and Lego mad at age 8 built this casdtle practically single handed as the instructions were so good. Granted he had constant supervision and a bit of guidance but mostly he built it himself from the very clear instructions.
Thirdly - final product: Looks absolutely amazing - it needs a board because it will break if you try and lift it without but as long as you have this it looks fantastic and should stay looking so. My son has actually left this complete and is still playing with it.

Detail is amazing with little Lego food in the Dining Hall, a bookcase with sliding doors in Dumbledore's office, potion bottles and stoppers, a copy of The Quibbler complete with Harry Potter headline in the common room and even a chandaleir.

Final opinion - expensive kit yes but well well worth the money for the hours of entertainment and play it offers. Well done Lego.

remote control car was fine, nothing special. The helicopter could not lift of the ground, it was charged for a few hours and didn't work, so I left it on charge over night and still no joy. Returned item and ordered a new one, took about a week and same thing again! My six year old was not impressed as this was a birthday present he had on his wish list for a wile, he was watching it on YouTube for weeks!

took a chance with Heli mission, which worked but was very hard to control, propeller broke on the first day when trying to be landed, spares are around £5 + del.

This heli Racer was an instant hit once we had unpackaged it which took a little time. The 8 year old recipient found it good fun and enjoyed controlling it throughout the house. With his father supervising it even worked very well outside on tarmac despite being classed as an indoor toy. The weather conditions were fine and dry however. The helicopter flew quite high. A slight hitch was the duration of "play" as the frequent need for re-charging could have become a disadvantage if we had not other toys to play with in the meantime. It was good for co-ordination learning as the young lad at first thought he was not a very good driver but practice brought improvement quickly. As the toy is new I cannot as yet vouch for the durability but so far seems to be reasonably durable after the car managed to bounce down half a set of stairs! Could be expensive on batteries as it takes 9 batteries to run it.

I owned a Mosquito 3 some time ago, and I was quite impressed with it... and because it is quite a good, manageable flyer, I thought I would not be easily surprised by anything else. Well, surprise! I was really thrilled when I first flew the S107... the gyros, I believe, make all the difference, giving you even better control than before. It really is possible to do some precision flying with this, landing on tight spots on a tabletop, etc... it seems to be quite sturdy too; my daugter and my nephew have already crashed it many times today, and still everything is OK. The only downside: the battery life seems to be a tad shorter than the Mosquito (Well, the S107 seems heavier too, so that was to be expected to some extend), but on the other side, being able to recharge via USB port will definitely prolong batteries life in the controller! Well, in short, the point is: despite having owned another great flyer in the past, I was really, really impressed with this one...

If you want a small indoor helicopter that's hard to fly, breaks easily, has bad battery life and is annoying to own, DON'T BUY THIS ONE :)

That's a tongue-in-cheek way of saying - I LOVE IT !!! This little helicopter ticks all the boxes, it's insanely easy to fly and has a life of approx. 10 minutes flight time from 30-40 minutes charging, not bad for such a tiny battery. Trimming the gyro is simplicity so it's rock steady in the hover, once you get used to the sensitive controls. Manoeverability is incredible and very responsive, take your eyes off it and you've got yourself a run-away. Does it break easily, nope. It has collided many a time with walls that seem to spring out of nowhere, yet still comes back for more. I feared charging the 'copter from the controller (and not from the included USB lead) would flatten its AA batteries, but not so far. I've had at least two complete flights and charges before needing to replace the controller batteries. I would recommend using rechargeable AA's though.

In conclusion, it's great fun, very addictive and a great introduction for beginners to RC helicopters. I've flown larger outdoor 6 channel helicopters, yet still find this little chap a marvel.

So, what are you waiting for... BUY IT !

decide to treat myself for my birthday (thirty something). I have to say that having played with a few other heli's this is great!! The manufacturers reccommended for children over the age of eight. I can vouch it is a durable as other accounts given (survived a few 5-6ft drops - onto carpet). As its IR when it goes out of range rather than just keep going it does plumet to the ground line a lead brick. I find this a little scary and funny, but it has always flown again without issue. I've had it almost a week now and flown it everyday, my newphew (2yrs) would request me to fly it at least 5 times a day. Its an ideal first heli due to its robust build and i would reccommend this highly over the Picoo-z premium heli which is of a cheap build quality. I'm now able to land it on a dvd case - as well as other obsticals like sofas/tables/lap trays e.t.c

highly reccomended!

I bought mine at a retail store so cant comment on Peters review (sorry to hear about your poor luck) about the item the recieved.
